An aquatic hike happens during a Trekking or a Hiking Tour.
For aquatic hiking, we start to get equiped, following way :
We enter the gorge and alternate parts druing which we scramble around boulders and parts during which we swim.
For the oones who do not feel so confident in the water, we are here to help them. And in the longer swims, we can give them the canyon bag (which floats) or plan a safety jacket for them.
It’s really fun, above all when it’s hot! And it happens in a great and magical environment which we do not get bored to contemplate.
In most of the wadis, there is possibility to jump, but during an aquatic hike, it’s never mandatory : there is always a way to skirt the jump…
In what we call “easy canyoning”, there might a mandatory jump of max 3m ; in this case, we take with us rope and harness for the ones who would not want to jump…
During aquatic hikes, we always take some snacks (dates, mixed nuts and dried fruits, and fresh fruits).
According to the length of the canyon, we also sometimes carry picnic lunch (rather simple because we have limited space in the waterproof jerycan). Other times, we just take snacks and we eat lunch a but late in the afternoon, after the hike…
